How Continuum works

Everything a saver needs: how locks and shares work, where exit fees go, how the token launches and what the contract can and can't do.

Overview

Continuum is a savings vault for one token on Ethereum. You lock tokens for a fixed time. If you stay to the end you get everything back, plus a share of the fees paid by people who left early. If you leave early, you pay a 10% exit fee on what you locked.

Most token launches reward selling fast. Continuum flips that: every early exit pays the people who are still holding, so patience is the thing that earns.

Locking

Each lock is its own vault with its own unlock day. You can open as many as you like. Pick one of four lengths. The longer the lock, the higher its weight.

TierLengthWeight
030 days1.0x
190 days1.2x
2180 days1.5x
3365 days2.0x

You can add to a vault while it's locked (the unlock day stays the same) or extend it, which restarts the lock from today on the same or a longer tier. Locking first needs a token approval for the exact amount.

Rewards

A vault's shares are its amount times its weight. 1,000 tokens locked for 365 days is 2,000 shares; the same amount for 30 days is 1,000 shares.

Every time rewards come in, they're split across all open vaults by shares, from that moment on. A vault opened later never earns from rewards that arrived before it. The contract tracks this with a running reward-per-share number, so it costs the same gas whether there are ten vaults or ten thousand.

Rewards come from two places: early-exit fees and funding, where anyone sends tokens to the pool with fund. If rewards arrive while no vault is open, they wait and go to the next vaults that open. Claim rewards any time with claim; they're also paid automatically when a vault closes.

Leaving early

Before its unlock day, a vault can be closed with exitEarly. On a 1,000-token vault:

  • 900 come back to you, plus every reward the vault already earned.
  • 80 (80% of the fee) are shared with every vault still open.
  • 20 (20% of the fee) go to the treasury.

Your vault is removed before the fee is shared, so you never earn from your own exit fee. After the unlock day there's no fee at all: withdraw returns everything.

Trading fees

The token trades in one official Uniswap v4 pool created by Programmable. Every buy and sell in that pool pays a 0.3% platform fee to Programmable and a 2.7% creator fee. Normal transfers between wallets are free, and locking, claiming and withdrawing only cost Ethereum gas.

Part of the creator fee can be sent into the vault with fund to boost rewards for savers. Every top-up shows on-chain as a Funded event.

The launch

The token launches through Programmable's Custom Launch on Ethereum mainnet, using Programmable's protected launch token and Uniswap v4 hook. Programmable reviews and approves the launch before it goes live, and the launch is stamped on-chain by its router so explorers and terminals can verify where the token came from.

  • For the first 5 minutes, only Programmable's router can buy.
  • Any opening fee from Programmable's launch protection is shown on the coin page before you buy.
  • The vault is deployed after the launch is final, pointing at the launched token. It never touches the pool or the hook.

ContinuumVault functions:

FunctionWhat it does
lock(amount, tier)Opens a vault. Tier 0–3 is 30, 90, 180 or 365 days. Approve the vault for the amount first.
topUp(id, amount)Adds tokens to a vault that's still locked. The unlock day doesn't change.
extend(id, tier)Restarts the lock from now on the same or a longer tier and re-weights its shares.
claim(id)Pays out the rewards a vault has earned. The vault stays locked.
withdraw(id)After the unlock day: pays back the full amount plus all rewards and closes the vault.
exitEarly(id)Before the unlock day: pays back 90% plus all rewards, shares the fee and closes the vault.
fund(amount)Anyone can add tokens to the reward pool for everyone currently locked.
pending(id) · previewExit(id) · stats()Read-only views the website uses for rewards, exit quotes and pool totals.

Security

  • The vault has no owner, no admin keys, no pause and no proxy. Nobody can change its rules after deploy.
  • The token and treasury addresses, lock lengths, weights and the 10% fee are fixed in the contract.
  • Only the wallet that opened a vault can claim, add, extend, withdraw or exit it.
  • Every write is protected against reentrancy and uses balance checks on transfers.
  • Continuum will never ask for your seed phrase or private key.

Risks

  • The vault hasn't had an independent audit yet. Bugs are possible.
  • Locked tokens still move with the market. A lock protects your position from impatience, not from price.
  • Rewards depend on other people leaving early or on funding. They aren't guaranteed.
  • Trades are final and tokens can lose all value.
